The Building Crafts College, founded in 1893, is the official school of learning for the Worshipful Company of Carpenters; an ancient livery dating back to 1271. The BCC is based in Stratford, East London, the patron of which is HRH the Prince of Wales.

The Bench Joinery Diploma NVQ levels 2 & 3 are ‘work based’ qualifications, provided by The BCC. It is essential for students to produce a portfolio of work, completed in the work place, to gain these qualifications. Mute Soundproofing® has joined forces with The BCC to offer carpentry students the opportunity to accumulate suitable work based evidence, within an appropriately supervised working environment.
